Getting through a fast escrow is usually at the top of the priority list for both the buyer and the seller in a transaction. However, sometimes, the escrow portion of the sale seems to drag on and on. If you want to speed up the escrow process, there are a number of things that you can do to help out. Here are a few tips for a fast escrow process.

1. Get a Good Broker

Hiring a great real estate broker to help you through the process can help quite a bit. Real estate brokers go through this process all the time. Therefore, they can usually walk you through it with minimal problems along the way.

2. Disclose Potential Surprises

If you are the seller of a home, you need to let everyone know about any potential surprises with the house. For example, if there is a lien on the house, tell everyone up front. If you are the buyer and you have a questionable credit history, then you can speed things up by telling them what went wrong.

3. Do Your Part

If the escrow agent asks you to do something, you need to do it quickly. Many times, they will contact one of the parties and ask for something. Doing your part quickly will speed up the whole process.
