RV Insurance For When You're On The Go

RV insurance may not be something you need to carry all the time, but when the season hits, you definitely want to make sure you are covered when you decide to hit the road.

Coverage to Consider

In addition to standard coverage typical to what you would have on your auto policy for collision and liability, you may want to consider the following special coverage for your RV:
  • Roadside assistance, so that you don't have to worry about being stranded somewhere.
  • Vacation liability - special coverage when you are using your RV as a temporary residence.
  • Emergency coverage - extra coverage to make sure you can get your RV home if there is a problem.
Choosing Coverage

You'll probably be able to get a multiple lines discount from the company who provides your other insurance needs, but don't let that keep you from shopping around to make sure you are getting the best coverage for the price.  An RV is a long-term investment and often a second home, so shirking on coverage isn't always a wise choice.
