If you are under the age of 25, you can expect a speeding ticket to significantly increase your insurance payment. The same is true if you have a history of speeding. How to Minimize a Ticket's Impact

You do not have to simply accept your insurance increase when you get a speeding ticket. First, you should attempt to keep the ticket off your record however possible. Hiring a lawyer may be work the expense. You may also speak directly to the judge about opting for driver's education classes in lieu of paying the ticket. If you do either of these things, the ticket and points will never hit your license. Going to court is worth the chance your arresting officer will not show up. If this happens, the ticket will be excused.
