Ask Them to Stop Calling You

Whenever a debt collector contacts you by phone, you can ask them to stop calling you. You also need to let them know that you would like for them to communicate with you only in writing. According to the law, they will have to accommodate your request and stop calling you.

Send a Letter

In addition to asking them on the phone, you will need to send them a letter with this information as well. Make sure that you send your letter via certified mail so that they will have to sign something in order to receive it.

Hire a Lawyer
