There are a few ways to easily check your bank account number. Your personal account number is listed on your personal check; the bank account number for your account is usually located at the bottom of your check. There are several numbers on the bottom of the check so you should be able to determine which numbers make up your bank account number.
Finding Your Account Number
Generally speaking, there are three sets of numbers listed on the bottom of your check. The first set of numbers is usually your bank routing number; this number is used to differentiate between different banks and is not your account number. The routing number is always nine digits.
The second set of numbers is usually your account number. Count the number of digits of the number to be sure. Most banks avoid using the nine digits of the routing number, so the number should be different. Keep in mind that the numbers will generally be separated by a banking symbol that appears to be a large dot with two smaller dots to the side.
You can also call your bank and ask your representative. Most banks will provide you with your number after answering many personal questions that establish your identity.
